Fine Italian made viola by Marco Di Salvo under Master Marcello Bellei Workshop. This viola sings with an elegant, shimmering tone colour. It projects clearly, and effortlessly, responding well to the most sensitive of bow strokes. This viola is based on Stradivari modelling, very responsive, gorgeous sound that you wouldn’t want to put it down but keep playing.

Marcello Bellei, is a remarkable violin maker and teacher in the violin Making School of Pieve di Cento (Bologna), Italy. He has a fantastic pedigree and maker’s lineage, having studied under Renato Scrolavezza.

2nd prize for violin in the 8th National Violin Making Competition in Baveno 2001;
gold metal for Viola in the 5th National Violin Making Competition in Pisogne 2011;
2nd prize in the violin section at the Anlai Violin Making Competition in Cremona 2015;
