The “Teka” chin rests have become very popular in Australia, and are favoured by many teachers to use on advancing students in order to correct posture.
This style features a high, upwards-angle cup that directs itself over the tailpiece. This cup gently directs the head into a comfortable playing position – however for some players, mostly adults, the “cup” shape can restrict movement.

“Teka” come in several different materials, with wooden chin rests typically being flatter than their plastic counterparts.
