This work alludes to the story of Noah’s Flood and the subsequent placing of the rainbow in the sky as a symbol of peace. The dream-like opening very soon gives way to a turbulent episode marked by a driving theme that is shared with different sections of the orchestra. The second orchestra parts though optional, will certainly add to the sense of excitement and drama. A great work to bring players of different levels together.
