Vivace Violins is proud to provide quality products and repair services for our string customers. All our warranties are only valid for the original purchaser, it is non-transferrable. Details of the particular purchase warranties are listed below.

New Instrument Warranty

Vivace Violins offers 1-year instrument structural warranty from the date of the purchase including our new violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Accidental damages are not covered. Any modifications will void structural warranty.

European Old/Antique Instrument Purchase

Master made violins, violas and cellos are delicate, and uniquely handmade and varnished. Each of them is made by the master luthier, and sold as it is. Vivace Violins provides 1-year instrument structural warranty for open / unglued seams or joints due to reason other than temperature and humidity changes or from misuse. Accidental damages are not covered. Any modifications will void structural warranty.

Bow Warranty

Our new bows are covered with a 6 month structural warranty period from date of purchase for new bows. The bow hair and bow tips are not covered by warranty as they fall under general wear and tear. For example, loss of hair, hair damaged by insects (carpet beetle), hair stretches or shrinks. The Bow tips can break when they are overtightened or over tensioned even during the playing.           

The Antique / old bows sold at Vivace Violins are sold as is with 3 month warranty from date of purchase. The majority of our antique bows possess official certification documents after the have been assessed by a professional authenticator. Bows contain original hardware. Overtime the mechanism may become worn out. If this occurs it is able to repaired and is not covered by warranty.

Case Purchase

Any Case purchase comes with a 6-month warranty from the date of the purchase. Damage caused by the consumer, either accidental or modification will not be covered under warranty. *Any warranty claim will be accessed by the supplier.
