Gliga III Cello Outfit – Antique Nitro Finish
Description
The entry-level nitro-finished Gliga III cello outfit was developed specifically for the Australian school market and has become the most popular Gliga cello outfit in the range. By finishing the cello with nitrocellulose lacquer instead of the hand-applied oil finish on higher models the price has been lowered thanks to the reduced labour required to finish the instrument. An added bonus is the hardy nature of the nitro lacquer which stands up to abuse better than the traditional oil finish.
Other than the finish the actual instrument is the same as the standard Gliga III. Its all solid construction is made up of European wood from the Carpathian Mountains, the same wood used by the old master builders. A Wittner Ultralight tailpiece with in-built tuners is fitted for ease of tuning, and the quality ebony endpin and adjustable spike is hardy and reliable.
The outfit is finished with a set of Clarendon Gold strings, FPS Deluxe padded bag and FPS brazilwood horsehair bow. In all an outstanding value outfit that gives the early learner every opportunity to succeed.
